The SRV watch is inspired by the Art Deco era, which flourished in the 1920s. This era is characterized by geometric shapes and abstract patterns, which became a dominant style in architecture, interior design, fashion, and graphic arts. Although the SRV is directly inspired by a 1975 model, that design itself was a reinterpretation of Tissot's earlier creations from the 1920s.
More than just a name, SRV stands for Sapphire Rectangle V: a faceted sapphire crystal with a rectangular silhouette, and the "V" is a nod to its 5-bar water resistance, symbolized by the Roman numeral V. The leather strap is distinguished by the way it evolves over time. It adapts to the wearer's wrist, offering unique comfort and fit.
