G-SHOCK is renowned for its continuous evolution. And this unprecedented reinterpretation, which highlights G-SHOCK's innovative approach to construction and design, undeniably confirms the brand's unwavering commitment to toughness. With its organic shape bringing together components with well-defined contours, the GA-V01 features a large LCD screen topped with an openwork metal dial, which itself is equipped with the new Shock Release Hand, a new generation hand that allows shocks to be dissipated. Thanks to its original and innovative design, the GA-V01 embodies the toughness of G-SHOCK watches, and reaffirms the brand's permanent commitment to developing powerful and resistant products.
For the GA-V01, Casio has developed a magnetic holding structure, a design in which the hands, which are vulnerable to shocks, are not directly attached to the stem but are attached using magnetic force. This magnetic attachment allows the minute hand, the Shock Release Hand, to effectively absorb and dissipate impacts. This new technology also allows the use of larger hands with more varied designs.
Note: as the structure uses a magnetic attachment, the minute hand may shake in the event of a shock or vibration. It may also change position right after a shock or vibration, but will automatically return to its initial position after a few minutes.
