Elevate your style with this ultra-sophisticated watch from the 5000 collection. Directly inspired by the very first G-SHOCK, the GMW-BZ5000 continues to advance features and materials while offering a revolutionary design.
Welcome to a new chapter of all-metal G-SHOCK watches. After 40 years of testing aimed at advancing the shock resistance of watches, G-SHOCK decided to go even further by imagining a co-creation between man and AI to develop all-new generative design methods for the structure and exterior.
Thus, we have retained the iconic shape of the original G-SHOCK, while developing a new structure that extends the case to the lugs to further reduce shock transmission. The complex and modern shape, seen from the side, highlights the structural beauty of the design. An internal protector made of resilient resin temporarily deforms to absorb shocks, allowing for a watch with an all-metal coating that meets G-SHOCK shock resistance standards. The back of the case is made of stainless steel and screwed in to ensure water resistance.
For the display, we opted for a high-definition MIP LCD screen with memory in every pixel, a screen commonly used in G-SHOCK sports models. However, we sought to improve it to make it more energy-efficient so that it can operate on solar power. This new screen offers a total of eight different display styles: you can choose between two distinct styles – the easy-to-read STANDARD and the CLASSIC for a traditional 7-segment look – through four display modes. The MIP LCD screen is high-contrast with a wide viewing angle, which not only protects against ambient light – sunlight or even fluorescent lamp light – but also allows for exceptional and more detailed readability, even in bright outdoor spaces and in direct sunlight.
The time display is identical to that of the very first G-SHOCK, but with an advanced feature. Download the CASIO WATCHES app to connect your watch to your smartphone via Bluetooth®. Because the watch is also equipped with Multiband 6, solar operation, and a high-brightness LED light, it is extremely practical and useful.
This new G-SHOCK is manufactured at Yamagata Casio, the "mother factory" where the original history of the G-SHOCK began.
